On 1st May 1985 Carol Talbot established The Ernestine Graham School of Ballet, Dance & Drama. Initially the school was based at The Welsh Chapel on Auckland Road but due to the sheer growth of the Dancing School Carol began to look for her own premises, and by 1990 the School had moved to its current home on Heathfield Road.

Bluebell Studios, formerly the First Church of Christ Scientist, got its name from the childhood memories Carols mother, Olive had of going to Bluebell Woods with her father to pick armfuls of  fantastic smelling Bluebells for her mother, who was not able to go outside.

Once Carol had moved in and the Dancing School continued to operate, she soon realised that she would need to grow her business in order to be able to stay in her new home. She drew from her days as a Biology Year Head and opened Bluebell Nursery School, and Bluebell Fitness Centre. Still seeing the need to have more floor space at the Studios to increase the number and frequency of classes that could take place, Carol began having plans drawn up to have a mezzanine floor built. Once built the mezzanie floor created another light and airy Studio, perfect for Dance & Aerobics. This is how Bluebell Studios remains today offering two Studios, Graham & Cornwell, a Fitness Centre, and an Educational Teaching Nursery School. Aside from that the Stdudios also has space to let, both offices, and studio space.
