The staff at Bluebell Nursery are all qualified and experienced and are selected for their professionalism and caring natures. Most of the practitioners have been working at Bluebell for many years. Alison, the Nursery Manager, has been with the business for over 17 years.
Each member of staff has good relationships with our parents, making sure that each child’s development and progress is discussed each time they come into nursery.
Carol Talbot
Carol is the owner of Bluebell Nursery and leads a team of passionate and qualified staff to deliver exceptional childcare and education.
Carol is a qualified postgraduate teacher and has held Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) since 2008.
EYPS is the graduate level professional accreditation for leading practitioners in the early years sector. Since its launch in 2007, EYPS has become recognised as the gold-standard in early years training and the only government-endorsed accreditation for the early years workforce.
Bluebell Nursery embraced the EYPS initiative early and was one of the first nurseries in Liverpool to have an EYP on their staff.
Natalie Leigh
Natalie has worked at Bluebell Nursery since 2003 and is integral in the administration and day to day running of the Nursery. She holds a degree in Biomedical Sciences & Chemistry, but will be embarking on her EYPS in the New Year. She has three children herself who all happily attend Bluebell Nursery!
Alison McGuiness
Alison McGuiness, Nursery Manager is a mother of two, a qualified nursery nurse of over 20 years. She joined bluebell from Oxford Street maternity nursery 18 years ago. She is our SENCO and Safeguarding officer. Alison is key worker for our ‘Happy Hares’.
Lisa Richardson
Lisa Richardson, trainee assistant manager, she came to us as a trainee and has worked up through the ranks. She went to Childwall School and is now qualified to NVQ level 3. She looks after our pre-school group ‘Prancing ponies’ and also manages our Breakfast Club & After School.
Paul Carter
Paul Carter, Nursery Practitioner. Paul is manger to our outside area. He is qualified to NVQ level 3 and went to West Derby Comprehensive School. He is the key worker to our ‘Giddy Goats’. Paul takes the children for indoor toddler sports where they enjoy structured physical play and are introduced to games involving problem solving, colour and number.
Louise Beatty
Louise Beatty, Nursery Practitioner. Louise is qualified to NVQ level 3 she has been with us since she started her training. She has responsibility for the baby room and she is key worker to the babies (little lambs) she has a really good understanding of the nurturing our little lambs need.
Hayley Shannon
Hayley Shannon, Nursery Practitioner, Hayley holds NVQ level 2 and is working towards her level 3 in childcare. Hayley is assistant outside manager, working alongside Paul. She is also a key worker for some of our Happy Hares.
Victoria Livingstone
Victoria Livingstone, is our trainee Nursery Practitioner she floats between all the key worker groups gathering knowledge and especially enjoys spending time with the Little Lambs.
Sky Glover
Sky Glover, Nursery Cook Sky is a chef with many years experience. She has a real passion for food and healthy eating. She prepares fresh morning and afternoon snacks for the children as well as a balanced and nutritional lunch from scratch. We operate on four weekly rotational menus that also change with the seasons.
